Local Artist Fran Maedel Art Raffle

Celebrate the life and artwork of local artist Fran Maedel with over 100 pieces of her artwork on display.  Fran was one of the first local artists to join efforts to remember the battlefield through art.  Fran did a lot of work for the Battlefield over many years and her very last painting was for battlefield painting now known as the “Unfinished Work”.

Raffle: $10.00 raffle tickets for a Fran Maedel original artwork “Nature’s Gem”. Tickets are available at the Visitor Center front desk. The drawing will be held on December 10, 2021.

The Art Raffle proceeds will benefit the Fran Maedel Art Studio, Monroe County Community Foundation Art Fund, the Foundation at Monroe County Community College’s Fran Maedel Art Scholarship, and the River Raisin National Battlefield Park Foundation.
