Spring Open House

See History come Alive!

Camp activities & exhibits will be on-going all day, including open fire cooking, lawn games, gardening,  medicinal herbs, shrub making, spinning, wood working, and camp life with scheduled black powder demonstrations.

This event is sponsored by the Friends of the River Raisin Battlefield in cooperation with the National Park Service and the River Raisin Battlefield National Park Foundation. Participating groups include Lacroix’s Company of Michigan Volunteers, the Wyandot of Anderdon, Frenchtown Spinners, the 2nd U.S. Artillery, 1st Regiment, and the NPS Volunteers-in-Park.

After visiting the encampment, come inside the NEW Visitor Center and see what’s new at the River Raisin National Battlefield Park.
